Muslim women clothes suffer from many problems in foreign
countries such as:
United States : The veil was not a problem in the
United States as it was in Europe. The First Amendment prohibits government
from interfering with religious clothing or preferences of individuals.
Students wear islamic clothes in public schools and state colleges largely without
controversy.
The case of Sultaana Freeman, a convert to Islam, American who began wearing a veil in 1997, is an
exception. Her Islamic clothes covering
all but her eyes. She refused to remove the photo of a driver's license and
sued the state of Florida, where she was a resident,the previous license her photo taken before 2001 , had been taken sailing on .
A judge of the Federal Court ruled in 2003 that the state could compel Freeman
